Indie Christmas Gift Ideas

It seems like 2020 might just be the year of Shop Small! Amongst the many lockdowns and local restrictions and surge to online shopping, there's been a really overwhelming movement to support small businesses this year, and the run up to Christmas especially has become the perfect opportunity to shop small.

So in the spirit of things - and as I'm feeling quite organised this year - I found time to sit down and put together a round-up of Independently made or sourced gift ideas that I absolutely love. So if you're shopping for a bit of a homebody - a lover of sofa snuggles, clattering in the kitchen and of course, Christmas, these gift ideas should help you find something marvelous and magical for your loved ones this year!

For Christmas Lovers

A selection of christmas decorations from indie businesses

Ease yourself in with a gift for you! ;) These gorgeous Christmas decorations from indie businesses have all the festive sparkle required for dreamy christmas decor. This beautiful wreath is from Spicer & Wood, give your decor a festive update with my foiled JOY print, trim the tree with gorgeous embroidered decorations, brass fern leaves or even a sparkly little peach. Nix the traditional angel for this lovely Christmas tree pennant topper, and fill those gaps with some wall decor from Oh Squirrel or a constellation of paper stars!

For Those That Love to Be Cosy

These cuddly gifts are the perfect for sofa snugglers. Who can resist a pair of ultra luxe pjyamas, layering up with a twinkly Christmas jumper or lighting a festive candle on a winter's evening? Nothing sounds more festive than sipping a cosy Christmas tea from your new favourite mug, and settling down to read some winter tales

For Home Decor Lovers

Know someone obsessed with primping their home? Why not treat them to a bundle of dried floral treats or a little floral print to see them through the colder months, or up their coffee table decor with a set of delicious tea lights, gorgeous matches, a delightful magazine subscription, or even a chic basket or two - you can never have too many baskets.

For The Foodies

A selection of gift ideas from indie businesses in the UK for people that love cooking

For those who are always in the kitchen, you can never have enough cookbooks - whether it's the fundamentals of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, preparing the perfect pastries, or even just discovering junk food - vegan style! These floral dishes are the perfect place to store their freshly baked treats whilst they sip a cuppa from a fluted mug or two (or maybe mix a cocktail or two with their new ice bucket!) or even treat them to a feast they can enjoy right at home in their PJs.

For the Fashion Lovers

For your friends and family who love an accessory! Bundle them up in this exquisite knit, and accessorise with a hand embroidered shell brooch (or maybe this little festive pin). Even PJ days will be effortlessly chic with this lovely brass hair pin, and these flower earrings are guaranteed to make a statement. Gift them a glamourous new skill with this floral nail workshop -add a nail art kit for newbies, too.

For the Snackers, Sippers and Sweet Tooths

For those with a sweet tooth, indugle them in some glorious bean to bar chocolate from Lucocoa or Bare Bones, a festive twist with Vegan Mince Pie Brownies, or go the whole way with these teeny little Gingerbread houses! Warm their cockles with some literal Christmas Spirit or fill up their bellies and their pantry with these delightful provisions
